2. Classes will be judged by the rules and regulations of the current WA 4-H Contest Guide.
3. Exhibitors 18 and under may not exhibit stallions.
4. Proper show attire and equipment required. No training equipment allowed.
5. Walk-Trot classes may not cross enter with lope/canter classes.
6. Exhibitors age to count as of October 1, 2024.
7. All classes will be judged or tied to sixth place.
8. Hi Point awards will be awarded in each of 4 divisions. The same horse/rider combination must be used for points to count. You must show in at least 3 classes in your division to qualify for high point.Ties will be broken with the Showmanship placings.
9. No one may approach the judge or initiate any conversation without an appointment by the show manager. Failure to comply with this rule may result in disqualification in all classes. In such cases fees are non-refundable.
10. The judge’s decision is final in all classes. Protest procedure eliminated.
11. Show management reserves the right to cancel or combine any class with less than 3 entries.
12. Exhibitors failing to enter the ring for a class will forfeit the entry fee for that class. The speaker system may not be heard at all show ground locations. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to be on time for their classes.
13. Approved Helmets must be worn in all riding classes by 4-H members and anyone else who is 17 & Under. Helmets are recommended for all riders in all classes.
14. Mom & Dad Showmanship is open to any family member not showing in other showmanship classes at this show. Show clothes not required but must wear boots or hard-soled shoes.
15. Versatility Class: Horses shall be shown at english pleasure, then exhibitor and horse will change into western attire and tack in the arena and show at western pleasure. One assistant is allowed. a prize will be awarded for 1st one done, mounted, and on the rail.

2. Anyone under 18 and all 4-H members must wear an approved helmet.
3. Every class offered will be judged by the rules and regulations of Washington State 4-H.
4. No one may approach the judge or initiate any conversation without an appointment by the show manager. Failure to comply with this rule may constitute a disqualification and or dismissal from the show. This applies to the rider and any of their agents.
5. In case of a tie for High Point, the Showmanship placing shall be used to break the tie.
6. The judge’s decision is final in all classes. Protest procedure eliminated.
7. Management reserves the right to cancel or combine any class, which does not have 3 or more exhibitors.
8. Management is not responsible for any accident and or loss that may occur to the exhibitors, agents, horses, or equipment. The signed entry is acceptance of this rule.
9. Classes dropped prior to the first run following showmanship are eligible for a full refund. Classes dropped once the first run has taken place are not refundable.
10. For Intermediates and Seniors only: For the purposes of state fair qualification, Intermediates and Seniors may choose one showmanship class during the Clover Classic to count towards their Danish showmanship score, English Performance, Western Performance, or Western Games. Competitors must declare which class they would like to count prior to entering their first showmanship class. Scores achieved at the Clover Classic will count as Danish scores only (i.e. all blue ribbons are equal). If the competitor fails to declare which class they would like to count, then the first showmanship class entered at the Clover Classic will be used.
The rider, horse owner, parent, and any of their representatives acknowledge that they participate voluntarily in the event fully aware that horse sports and the event involve inherent dangerous risk, and by participating they expressly assume any and all risks of injury or loss, and they agree to hold the sponsoring Skagit County 4H Leaders and the Skagit County Fairgrounds, and their officials, members, employees and agents harmless for any injury or loss suffered during or in connection with the competition whether or not such injury or loss resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligent act of omission of said officials, members, employees, or agents of the Skagit County 4H Leaders or Skagit County Fairgrounds.
By submitting my registration I agree to abide by all rules and codes of conduct posted by Skagit County 4-H and Skagit County Fairgrounds. Any behavior deemed inappropriate by show staff may result in dismissal from the show without refund, regardless of participant's enrollment in the 4-H program.
1. The possession and/or use of alcoholic beverages or drugs, other than prescribed medication, on Fairgrounds property is prohibited.
2. Smoking on Fairgrounds property at any location is prohibited.
3. Persons under 18 years of age MUST have an adult chaperone.
4. Dogs must be leashed at all times and must remain in the camping area.
5. Fire lanes must be kept open. Any vehicles in violation will be towed at the owner’s expense.
6. Obscene and discriminatory language, disrespect of Fairgrounds staff, volunteers, other campers, exhibitors, vendors, contractors, etc., will result in immediate dismissal from the fairgrounds.
7. Damage to, or destruction of, property belonging to others is strictly prohibited. This includes tampering with or disconnecting water or electrical services from another campsite and may result in additional charges and/or immediate dismissal and forfeiture of awards.
8. Quiet hours 10PM to 6AM. All Campers must comply with Title 9 Chapter 9.41 & 9.42 governs Skagit County Parks. These rules and regulations are strictly enforced.
9. Horses stalled overnight must have a responsible party onsite at all times.
10. You must supply your own bedding, feed, and water buckets.
11. Riders are responsible for removing all bedding, hay, and manure from stalls and from around horse trailers before leaving the fairgrounds. Failure to do so may result in a monetary fine, payable to Skagit County 4-H Horse Leaders.
