Parents,
We thank you and encourage you as your family participates in the At-Home Family lessons in conjunction with the St. John the Baptist Faith Formation program. The At-Home portion will contain two short lessons each month for parents and their children to learn together. The first At-Home lesson of the month, families will complete a lesson prepared by the Diocese of Lubbock under the Whole Family Faith Formation program. The second At-Home lesson of the month will focus on one of the many facets of our Catholic faith, tradition or prayers. These lessons are a great way to learn, share and grow as a family. May God bless your family this year. Peace be with you.
The sacrament of Baptism brings us into the Universal Church. It is more than just having water poured on our heads. How can we, as a church, be supportive in welcoming those who have chosen to be Baptized?
We bless your name, O Lord, for sending your own incarnate Son, to become part of a family, so that, as he lived its life, he would experience its worries and its joys.
We ask you, Lord, to protect and watch over this family, so that in the strength of your grace its members may enjoy prosperity, possess the priceless gift of your peace, and, as the Church alive in the home, bear witness in this world to your glory.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Our Baptismal Day is our Spiritual Birthday. It is the day on which either our parents or we have decided to become members of the Catholic Church. This day is to be celebrated.
In this joyful and faith-filled episode, children will learn what Baptism is, why it’s important, and how it marks the beginning of our life with God. Through gentle explanations and fun visuals, kids will discover that Baptism is our spiritual birthday—the day we become a child of God and join the Catholic Church.

May God bless you.
May God keep you safe.
God be with you.
God be in your heart.
