GCSE

Group online sessions (60 mins) AQA GCSE Combined Science, Triple Science and Chemistry only

(£25 per session)

In all sessions, we review key content, use Q&A including multiple choice questions to identify gaps in knowledge or misconceptions. When students feel more secure in their knowledge, we move onto exam based questions. We analyse the question, identifying the command word. Identify the purpose of the question - what is the examiner trying to assess? We look at the key vocabulary that is required in each unit and use them when developing our exam answers.

1:1 online sessions (60 min) - KS3 and GCSE 

(£40 per session for 1:1) 

We can offer 1, 2 or all 3 of the sciences - Biology, Chemistry and Physics depending on your requirements. At GCSE we specialise in the AQA exam board but can tailor our sessions to other exam boards.

Tuition is targeted exactly where it is needed. We can offer lessons in any aspect of science including: 

GCSE Biology Units: Cell Biology, Organisation, Infection and Response, Bioenergetics, Homeostasis and Response, Inheritance, Variation, and Evolution, Ecology. 

GCSE Chemistry Units: Atomic Structure and the Periodic Table, Bonding, Structure, and Properties of Matter, Quantitative Chemistry, Chemical Changes, Energy Changes, The Rate and Extent of Chemical Change, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Analysis, Chemistry of the Atmosphere, Using Resources

GCSE Physics Units: Energy, Electricity, Particle Model of Matter, Atomic Structure, Forces, Waves, Magnetism and Electromagnetism, Space Physics (Only in the Physics Triple Science course)

A Level

Group online sessions (45 mins) "Welcome to A level" - Starting at the end of August 2025

(Set of 5 sessions £100 total)

A set of 5 lessons to help to bridge the gap between GCSE and A-level. These sessions aim to review key areas of the the higher level GCSE content, after the long summer break, before moving forward with some of the common elements of A level. These sessions are offered in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These sessions will start at the beginning of September 2025. 

Biology: 1) Cell biology 2) Enzymes 3) Cell transport 4) The heart and exchange surfaces 5) Disease and immunity.

Chemistry: 1) Atomic structure 2) Avogadro's number and moles 3) Titrations and concentration calculations 4) Bonding 5) Review of GCSE Organic chemistry.

Physics: 1) Inside protons and neutrons 2) Einstein's Nobel Prize - the photoelectric effect 3) Perfectly elastic and inelastic collisions 4) How to handle cells resisting their own current 5) Youngs modulus versus Hooke's law.

1:1 and Group online sessions (60 mins) - A level 

(£50 per session for 1:1 and £30 per session for small groups - max 5)

We can offer Biology, Chemistry or Physics at KS5. As with the GCSEs we do specialise in the AQA exam board but can tailor our sessions to most other exam boards including: OCR, Edexcel and WJEC

Tuition is targeted exactly where it is needed. 

In-person lessons can also be arranged, depending on location, but please be advised that these sessions will incur a small increment in the price due to travel costs or venue hire.
