About us

Hello, I'm Dr. Steph Coimbra. I've been working in education since 2005, primarily as teacher of science, specialising in chemistry at GCSE and A level. I have previously led Key Stage 4 science in my role as deputy leader of science, and more recently, in my senior leadership role, I have had the responsibility of developing a study curriculum to support learning in all subject areas. This has been developed for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. 

I have often helped out the children of my friends by supporting them with their revision of science and this year, 2025, I decided to start SJC Education.

In the beginning, I offered Chemistry GCSE and A level tuition but due to a recent collaboration with other highly experienced science teachers, SJC Education is now able to offer the full range of science subjects from Key Stage 3, to GCSE and A level.
