Insyb 2018

Dec 20-21, 2018. The 2nd International Symposium of Bioinformatics (InSyB 2018) organized by Perdana University. The symposium objective is to foster bioinformatics related research in Malaysia. More info of the event can be read here >> InSyB2018.

CADD Bali 2018

Nov 26-30, 2018 - Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD) 2018 Seminar & Workshop was held in Bali, Indonesia this year. Again for this year CADD, Dr Siti Azma is the trainer for the molecular docking workshop. We hope all participants have benefited from the event!

WORLD HIV/AIDS Day 2018

Nov 21, 2018 - World HIV>AIDS Day 2018 was held in UiTM Puncak Perdana Campus. Our lab co-joint with Maker Lab UiTM to participate in the event. We were assigned to exhibit 3D printed items related to HIV/AIDS.

Lab members learned to produce 3D printed files (.stl format) using common bioinformatics softwares, and printed the items using the Ultimaker 3D printer in Maker Lab. The visitors were all amazed as that was their first time seeing the 3D printed drugs and virus structures!

Undergrads in our lab not only learn about structure-based drug design using a software, now they can understand better using 3D printed molecules.
