Teaching Experience
Teaching Statement
I am passionate about teaching and coaching students to master new topics. Over time, I developed three teaching principles:
i) Explain the “Why”. Giving the big picture is fundamental: Why should students care about this topic? When introducing a novel concept, I always try to clarify why and how the notions taught are important for practice or for theory.
ii) Transparency. When starting a class or introducing some new assignments, I always clarify expectations and ensure the transparency of evaluation criteria. Students should always be able to understand what they need to know to pass a class and really learn from it.
iii) Open door policy. I am a demanding teacher, but I offer full commitment to my students: Students showing effort and active engagement in the class are always welcomed to ask me questions via email or via e-learning platforms.
