As of October 2025, the Sierra Madre mountain range in the Philippines is actively undergoing reforestation and conservation efforts, with assistance from a variety of groups. The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines carried out corporate social responsibility activities, such as planting 1,250 native tree seedlings in the Southern Sierra Madre, notably in Brgy. San Andres, Tanay, and Rizal. This is part of a larger Adopt-A-Seedling Program that includes community training and nursery installation to sustain these seedlings for three years. These projects seek to protect the Sierra Madre as a green tourism attraction, critical watershed, and natural storm barrier for several communities.
Furthermore, forest rehabilitation in the southern Sierra Madre has been advanced by the One Meralco Foundation (OMF) and its collaborators, especially at the UP Laguna-Quezon Land Grant in Siniloan, Laguna. More than 200,000 trees have been planted in this area since 2022, highlighting its significance as a biodiversity corridor and watershed. These programs demonstrate a persistent dedication to ecological restoration and safeguarding the essential ecosystem services provided by the Sierra Madre.
