I am a full professor at the department of Statistics and Operations Research at the University of Oviedo. I have been part of the SIPTA Executive Committee in various roles since 2009, and was the President of the Organizing Committee of the ISIPTA Conference in 2023 and the SIPTA Schools in 2006 and 2018. I also help in the organisation of the SIPTA seminars. 

My goal as President would be to continue with the work that Jasper de Bock has led in the past six years and in particular to help the society grow by increasing its visibility and its connection with other groups, with the collaboration of the members of the Executive Committee.
