Welcome to SipSheep. Please read this User Notice carefully before using the app. By using SipSheep, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the following information.
SipSheep is a hydration companion that helps you record water intake, set daily hydration goals, view hydration trends, receive reminders, and optionally sync water intake data with Apple Health. SipSheep is designed for general wellness tracking only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare recommendations.
If you have a medical condition, are following a clinician-directed hydration plan, or are unsure about your appropriate daily water intake, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the hydration records, goals, schedules, and preferences you enter in SipSheep. Hydration records may include the amount of water logged, the time of the record, daily goal progress, streaks, medals, and related app settings.
SipSheep may store this information locally on your device and, where supported, share it across the iPhone app, Apple Watch app, widgets, and Live Activities through Apple system features.
SipSheep may request permission to read and write water intake data in Apple Health. This access is optional and is used only to help you keep your hydration records consistent between SipSheep and Apple Health.
SipSheep does not sell HealthKit data, use HealthKit data for advertising, or share HealthKit data with third parties for advertising, data brokerage, or similar purposes. You can manage or revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.
SipSheep may request access to your current location to show local weather on the Home screen and to attach weather context to hydration records. Location access is optional. If you do not grant location permission, weather-related features may be unavailable, but core hydration tracking will continue to work.
When weather is enabled, SipSheep may use a third-party weather provider to retrieve current weather information for your location. Weather data may be cached locally to improve performance and reduce repeated requests.
SipSheep may request notification permission to send hydration reminders, status updates, and related alerts. Notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings or within the app where available.
Reminder timing may be adjusted based on your daily goal, wake and sleep schedule, recent hydration activity, and reminder preferences.
If you use SipSheep on Apple Watch, the app may use motion data to help detect drinking gestures and create hydration records. This feature is optional and may not always be accurate. You should review automatically detected records and correct or delete them when needed.
The Apple Watch app may also use HealthKit-related capabilities to support background detection and may check recent sleep status to avoid detection while you appear to be asleep. These features are used only to provide hydration tracking and reminder functionality.
SipSheep may use third-party services, such as Firebase, to support analytics, crash diagnostics, remote configuration, push notification delivery, app security, and service reliability. These services help us understand app stability, improve features, and deliver a better user experience.
Any data processed by third-party services should be reflected accurately in the App Store privacy information and described in the Privacy Policy.
You can reset today's hydration progress in the app. You can also manage permissions for Health, Location, Notifications, and Motion-related access through Apple system settings where applicable.
Deleting or resetting data in SipSheep may also affect related records that SipSheep has written to Apple Health, depending on your permissions and sync status.
SipSheep is intended for general wellness use. If you are a minor, please use SipSheep only with permission and guidance from a parent or legal guardian.
We may update SipSheep, this User Notice, or related policies from time to time to improve the app, address legal or platform requirements, or reflect feature changes. Some features may depend on device compatibility, system permissions, network availability, Apple services, or third-party services.
