COMMISSIONS

Information and terms of service for a 3D model commission.
Please read in full before enquiring, some details may vary for individual sales.
Standard terms of service also apply unless stated otherwise.

Commisisons are currently OPEN. Please inquire via Twitter or the Contact form

Inquiries

When inquiring about a commmission, please make sure to provide your initial idea or concept as well as a estimated budget and timeframe.
I am happy to work with a wide variety of ideas, from simple written concepts to detailed sketches. A sketch is especially helpful for me to get an idea of what you're looking for (and any level of artistic skill is fine) but not necessary.

I am open to commissions for a wide variety of model types, including insertables, penetrables, packers, grinders, and squishies.

I will not entertain inquiries for designs that are offensive, derogatory, designs based on other models (unless you own the rights to said model), established IP or copyrighted materials, or that are intended to explicitly represent real animal genitalia.

Concept work is free as part of an inquiry, and I am happy to create a variety of sketches based on your written ideas, expand upon your simple sketches, or instead work directly from your own sketch - though this must be comprehensive enough for me to convert accurately into 3D. I may also provide character concepts if requested, though these will be simple sketches and not finished artwork.

Any sketches I create as part of this process belong to me until payment is made. You may not take any sketches I have produced and use them as reference to model from yourself, provide them as reference to another artist, or for any other purpose.

Once a final sketch is agreed upon, I will take payment and begin work on the commission.

Pricing and Timeframe

Commissioned pieces are priced at $400-1000, depending on their complexity, plus one physical copy.
Payment is made via Paypal Invoice, and can be made in full upfront, or in two halves: the first half as a deposit before work begins, and the second half once the model is comeplete.

In the case of a split payment, I expect that the second payment will be prompt once the commission is completed. I am willing to delay the final payment for up to 14 days depending on circumstances if necessary.
If the final payment is never made, I will retain the model as my own and will not refund the deposit. In this case I reserve the right to sell on the model as a pre-made design to other parties. Failure to complete payment may result in being blacklisted from future purchases.

The timeframe for a commission is 6-12 weeks, again depending on complexity. I am able to work to an exact or quicker timeframe if requested, though this may incur an additional fee.

Once payment is made, commissions cannot be refunded except in circumstances laid out here. If any delays occur during the process I will make sure to let you know and provide an updated timframe or discuss alternate resolutions if necessary.
If there are delays exceeding 12 weeks over the timeframe I will refund payment in full and cancel the commission.

Process

Once payment is made I will usually begin work immediately. I will provide regular updates to you, and you are welcome to request any changes or edits throughout this process. Any major changes (such as altering the concept entirely) may require additional communication and fees.

While I am confident that I am able to convert 2D designs into 3D quite accurately, the final sculpt may not be a like-for-like representation of the sketch due to limitations and creative liberties when converting from 2D to 3D. See below for examples of sketches vs the final model.

Confidentiality, Announcements, and Credit

By default, commissioned models will be kept completely private until you announce the model yourself. I will not post work-in-progress images, or publish the finished model anywhere until the official announcement is made by yourself.
I can, if requested, post "sneak peeks" of models (in progress or completed) to increase public anticipation for the model.

Once the model is announced, I request that I am credited as creator of the model in the description of the model page or catalogue on your website, either by linking to my twitter (@sionidae) or with a link to my website. I would also appreciate being credited as the sculptor when the model is announced for the first time on social media, although this isn't necessary.
