Who are the singers? Everyone! YOU! Anyone who wants to sing in solidarity and show up in resistance to authoritarianism.
Join us at a Community Sing and/or at a Singing ACTION Event.
In the context of escalating violence towards our communities and federal invasions of our cities and towns, we sing because song is an antidote to fear, song helps us connect to each other, and through song we can name and protect what we hold sacred.
We sing publicly in the streets for the sake of solace, strength, solidarity, to voice our dissent, and to refuse cooperation with oppressive and autocratic forces.
One of our goals is to tell the story of a loving, nonviolent, and joyful civil resistance movement in the US. Our singing actions are a powerful counter-narrative to the current regime's assertion that those on the Left are domestic terrorists. Through singing, we can quickly tell a story of who we are - loving, fierce, nonviolent. Join us in song!

INFO FROM INDIVISIBLE SLO: Rally and vigil every Sunday between 10 am – 11:30 am at the corner of Hwy 1 and Kansas Avenue. [SRCC will announce the days we are planning to be there.] Join us for a rally to protest ICE activity in our beloved community and to hold vigil for those in our community abducted by ICE. The sheriff chooses to allow ICE agents into the jail to abduct people despite CA laws that would allow him not to cooperate. The sheriff says he transferred zero people to ICE from January 2018 to December 2024. However, he reports 69 transfers in the secure area of the jail for 2025. These transfers do not include ICE abducting people released into the jail lobby which happens routinely.
It IS happening here! ICE is in our community multiple times a week abducting people from the SLO County jail. Imagine you are waiting for a loved one to be released from the SLO county jail. But before you can be reunited with them, they are kidnapped by masked secret police from the jail right before your eyes.
People taken at the jail are being denied due process and legal representation. They are separated from their children, families and loved ones. Don’t turn your back on what is happening in our community. Everyone who is released from the jail should be released regardless of where they were born.
Thanks to those who spoke up at the Truth Act Forum on January 27 and those who showed up in solidarity. A subcommitee taking 60 days to dither is insufficient! At least 30 people can be kidnapped from the jail in that time.
Bring large signs and banners centering calls for abolishing ICE and keeping it out of SLO and everywhere. If featuring signs with names of people murdered by ICE, please list all the people murdered by ICE. And the countless people harmed and disappeared whose names we do not know. Please stay off the road and stay safe.
*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
