You might have the most impressive pipes in the whole of your city. You might sound like a strangled cat when you sing, especially after a few drinks. But whatever your range and ability, you will take to the stage for one of these karaoke songs. And it will be brilliant.

Choosing the right song is crucial. If you can't sing in tune, perhaps opt for a rap. If you want to show off that high range, potentially opt for a bit of Whitney. In our list of the best karaoke songs ever, we've got everyone from Madonna to Lizzo, and from Toto to Frank Sinatra. Take a shot and warm up those vocal chords, people. These are the best karaoke songs ever.

That riff, a cross between a sitar and a revving dirt bike, is the most recognizable thing about the song. For such a ubiquitous hit, the lyrics continually surprise beyond the titular chorus. So much so that when Cat Power covered the tune in 2000, slicing off the refrain, it was a strange new poem about the anxiety of commercials and subliminal advertising. This from the first rock band to develop a brand logo, a pair of juicy red lips.

(d) In fact, (perhaps unfortunately) many in the Congregation these days do not know who even writes the songs, who are the bands that first produce it or even bother to think about the scriptural soundness of the songs.

Old is not necessarily good, new is not necessarily bad.

There are many new worship songs that are very good but for congregational use they

should be performed the same each time they are used

Could you describe how you arrived at the conclusion that avoiding all music written by heretics is an overreaction? Also, what benefits do songs written by heretics offer that a song written by a true Christian cannot already offer without any of the dangers?

Would you consider it an overreaction if the church leadership confronted their pastor about using material, even theologically correct material, from heretics in sermons? Or would you consider that to be a biblically justified action in keeping with Acts 20:28, Titus 1 & 2, etc.?

Think of it this way: a song written by a heretic would make up 20-25% of the singing of the church if you take it that one heretics song is sung out of every 4 or 5 during the service. By way of comparison, can you imagine the pastor spending 12-15 minutes of a 60 minute sermon, delivering material from a heretic??!!! The church needs to be consistent in its approach to the worship service in all areas.

On the other hand, since God is a discerner of the heart, it is He alone who can bless the hungry in soul, using whatever communication He desires. How many times has God used an unsaved person to drive home a characteristic in you that He finds unpleasing?

I have seen many in churches attend conferences and concerts where this dominion theology is practiced and taught, and all because they hear the songs being played in their churches they end up feeling that attending such events or churches are safe. This seems particularly common amongst youth coming out of youth ministries and seeking out churches of their own.

Associations can change over time. Churches sing songs today that were penned by Roman Catholics, Unitarian Universalists, and others who held to theological convictions we might not agree with. But because the song is disconnected from its origins, no one knows.

Thank you so much for the postings that continually make us better worshippers. We were having a conversation with my husband about songs and writers and i referred back to something you had shared with us while i was there that is is sometimes easy to judge a song by the person who writes it instead of whom the song is about. There are many professing believers who have written questionable lyrics but the Word of God is the beacon to guide us. If it is not aligned to the truth of the gospel even if one of the most renowned gospel singers wrote it it does not glorify God. Thank you so much for shedding light on this topic. God bless you.

Well i think it does matter who sings it because they might sound different. I am only in 8th grade and i wont to know more about it and i am learning the one that George F. Root and i would like to sing the one that is his not one that someone else did.

honestly, i have no problem singing songs of the past regardless of their origins because there is no support being lent to their credence.

The problem with supporting songs or songwriters today is that you are actually contributing to them monetarily through things like youtube which pays for views.

so this would mean you are directly supporting and contributing to a potentially false doctrine.

i think THIS is why we need to be careful as well whose songs we sing.

this in turn can also lead newer christians down a false path

Second, Shane and Shane are singing at a concert where Brian and Jen Jordan will be performing (October 23 in Colorado) . Do we need to stop singing Shane and Shane songs now or can we still sing them because they are Biblically accurate.

As far as I remember, none of the poems or songs featured in The Lord of the Rings are sung by orcs. But does that mean that they have no musicality at all? Is there any mention in Tolkien's legendarium of orc songs or music (melodic music, that is, not the beating of war drums)?

This caught my eye because I am doing research on the relation between song and morality or the possibility of redemption. Since the races of Middle-earth are often characterized by the type of music and content of the songs they make, it would be interesting to find that certain 'cultures' are songless.

Unnatural is really fun to sing just can be tough with verse phrasing when you aren't used to singing quicker phrasing I struggle with the Uprising chorus, G4's are hard for me in phrases, the Mercy ones I can achieve really easily and the Dead Inside ones but Uprising I struggle to sustain them for some reason

Micro Cuts isn't too bad if you slide up to the notes and don't actually sing the proper pronunciations i.e. "i've seeeeeyaaaaaaawooooo whataya doooooooiiiiiiiiiah" etc but I still personally struggle with it as while I can hit the notes, my falsetto isn't particularly strong and I struggle to hold them

i base my Micro Cuts singing off the version at Rockwerchter 2015, and I can safely say there are absolutely no pwoper pronunciations of any of the lyrics on that version. its probably why I can do it so easily, because it literally is just indecipherable screeching during the chorus lol

The power of music is undeniable. Music can soothe and calm, it can distract children during stressful or difficult moments, and it can also be exciting and stimulating and make kids want to dance! Toddlers (aged 1-3 years) enjoy music in a variety of ways, including moving to the rhythm, dancing, beating a drum, doing some of the actions, and even singing the words of familiar songs.

Any time is a good time to sing with your toddler! There may be certain times when you routinely sing with your child, such as bedtime. More active songs which involve movement (such as Ring Around the Rosie) might be more appropriate during the day.

While Kat and Ned are known to perform their own renditions of well-loved yet rarely played covers, they also write and perform original songs. Sound/style influences include Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, The Civil Wars, First Aid Kit, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, The Everly Brothers, The Secret Sisters, and Alison Krauss/Robert Plant. Kat & Ned Sing Songs collaborated with Viktor Krauss (Producer) and Jared Anderson (Sound Engineer) to record their first EP titled For You, which was released on April 1, 2023, and is available on all streaming platforms. Their full album titled The Record (with Krauss as Producer and Anderson as Sound Engineer) is set to release Fall 2023.

I was driving a Voyager last night with 3 homies and the song "Final Countdown" came on the radio station. It wasn't my MyRadio station, so I was about to change it, and then all the sudden my guy starts singing the guitar part, and then mimicking the words.

There's been a number of threads about this and someone is bound to drop by with the actual list, but as far as I know each of the 6 voices sing along to almost the same songs. They will only sing to songs found on "The Mix" radio station, although if those same songs are on your own radio channel that will still work. In order for your character to sing along they have to be listening to the radio station before the song starts. They won't sing to a song that has already started.

My character is female, so yes they do. All 6 voices sing along. It does seem pretty random as on a few occassions my character hasn't sung to the song even though she was listening to the station at the start of it, but it seems like the odds are pretty high.

When listening to songs in Japanese, you get to hear the language from another perspective. Lyrics often use more imagery and are sometimes a bit poetic, especially in Japanese, which allows you to get a different understanding of the language. 2351a5e196
