The Master Rallye is a 5000 km long rallye from Paris to Moscow. It takes ten days to do this distance and the track leads through seven countries and all terrain types, from asphalt road over dust ways to mud and even snow. Ten days, you are alone with the road and the roaring sound of your engine. With this game, you can participate on one of the most demanding rallyes of the world. With star performers such as EA Sports' Mobil 1 Rally Championship, Codemasters' Colin McRae Rally 2.0, and Infogrames' Rally Masters continually ranking at or near the top of the racing charts and grand newcomers such as Rally Trophy leading the way into the future, rallying has quickly become one of the most intriguing vehicular disciplines on the PC. Into these suddenly competitive surroundings wades the latest racing game from Microids, Master Rallye. Differentiating itself from much of the rally crowd by virtue of its nonrestrictive routes, wide-open environments, and head-to-head racing, Master Rallye is an entertaining trucking thrill ride that walks a fine line between a realistic rally title and a wild 4x4 off-road racer such as Codemasters' 1nsane. It exhibits many of the traits of a budget game, which it is at just $19.99, yet it should appeal to anyone who believes rallying is more fun when conducted with other cars and oodles of directional options.

The rest of this game, meaning its various game modes, are standard and they include quick race, rallye cup, master rallye, and challenge and invitation cups. You know the drill: win a few races, unlock a new track, or a vehicle, and so on. All the vehicles in the game handle quite differently and that is certainly another good side to Master Rallye. However, the game didn't deliver the thrill of rally driving the way it was supposed to. When it comes down to shelling some hard-earn cash, I'd give this one a miss. Unless you're simply craving for an arcade rally game. The good things about Master Rallye simply aren't entertaining enough to justify its many flaws.

You may (or may not) know that from Feb 2001, that I have been working to save the BMW factory rallye racing effort. I took a good deal of time and my own money to get this process started so that Jimmy Lewis would have a ride for the 2002 Dakar and so that I would keep my favorite brand, BMW in rallye racing.

The first cars to have the self locating sprintmasters fitted in production were the 200 August and September built LJ GTR XU-1,s. These wheels were originally planned to be fitted to the V8 LJ. These wheels have a cast date of 6/72 ( Batch 1 ).

With a further 200 cars and 200 sets of wheels required under the C.A.M.S. rules to complete the homologation of the wheels ( 2/2V ) and Track ( 4/4V ) Holden produced the minimum number of 200 cars in the months of October and November. These cars were then offered the option of the second batch of self locating sprintmasters. These wheels have a cast date of 11/72 ( Batch 2 ).

Rather than factory fit the second batch of self locating sprintmasters to the October and November built LJ GTR XU-1,s, Holden offered them as an option. Following Fords lead in the way Ford went about homologating their 15 X 7 Bathurst globes for the 1971 GT HO Phase III Falcons.

According to the C.A.M.S. rules, the spare wheel was required to be a sprintmaster. The 200 August and September built LJ GTR XU-1,s which had them factory fitted had the spare as a sprintmaster. The second batch of cars and wheels had the wheels as an option. I have seen some 11/72 and 2/73 LJ GTR XU-1,s with the option of the sprintmasters but still have the nibless as a spare. I believe this was solely up to the dealership fitting the wheels. The first batch of 6/72 were factory fitted, the second batch of 11/72 were offered as an option.........

During the ESE, we will explain the study and examination regulations of the master, as well as helping you to get oriented at the university, what courses are available to you and which institutes are responsible for what. However, a good portion of university life is meeting new people and having fun which the ESE will also help you kickstart.
