Two Sydney Power Teams (Team 1: Leader: Wanrong Li, Member: Yuhan Zhang; Team 2: Leader and Member: Lei Wang) advanced to the finals of Student Project Demonstrations of IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Expo, 2023. Wanrong's team will showcase our latest research on the Design Automation of Controllers for power electronics, and Lei's team will focus on a novel ultra-compact and efficient AC-to-DC power conversion technology. We look forward to submitting and presenting our design in Oct and are eager to see the outcome of the final round. Congratulations, Wanrong, Yuhan, and Lei!
Sydney Power Team (Leader: Qiujie Huang, Member: Yu Dou and Bo Lin) advanced to the finals of IEEE PELS-Google-Tesla-Princeton MagNet Challenge. The theme of this challenge is to seek innovative and efficient uses of measurement data for modeling power magnetics. We look forward to submitting and presenting our design in December and are eager to see the outcome of the final round. Congratulations, Qiujie, Yu and Bo!
Sydney Power Team (Leader: Mr Jinghang, Member: Wanrong Li and Qiujie Huang) advanced to the finals of the third Huawei Power Electronics Innovation Global Contest for University Students! Out of 158 highly competitive teams, only 21 have made it to the finals. The theme of this competition is to develop the world's most compact and efficient micro-solar inverters. We look forward to submitting and presenting our design in August and are eager to see the outcome of the final round. Congratulations, Jinghang, Wanrong and Qiujie!

Dr. Li is co-chairing with Dr. Yang Xiao (Soochow Universtiy) and Dr. Hang Zhao (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology(Guangzhou)) in a special session on “Electric Machine with Novel Electricity Transmission Method” in the Annual International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE) 2023, Finland. Papers are welcomed!
