Life experiences that demanded perseverance and a strong will to overcome challenges are the driving force behind the formation of this organization. The passion that fueled the vision for SBSS will continue to propel the organization’s growth as we build and maintain new connections.
We are committed to achieving several key objectives: providing mentoring for at-risk youth, veterans, and unhoused individuals, conducting empowering seminars, advancing education, facilitating hands-on goal setting and implementation, engaging in impactful service-learning projects, and delivering essential residency and support services for unhoused individuals.
In addition to the initiatives we've already launched, we are actively seeking new office space following the closure of our Human Resource Office in Marlboro County.
It's not about how many times you fall; it's about how many times you rise!
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Henry Ford.
There is success in Unity! It does not mean that all people in a group think alike or agree on everything.
However, it does mean that we all bring to the table Our ideas. Our differences. Our beliefs, and the things we are passionate about to meet a common goal, TO HELP THE COMMUNITY!
Each aspect is needed to ensure that the needs of the city as a whole are met.
We make a difference in our community through the support and generosity of individuals and businesses who are concerned about community development.
With this in mind, TOGETHER WE CAN AND WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY!
Therefore, we seek to build positive relationships in the County of Marlboro, Dillon, and the surrounding Pee Dee areas.
We solicit support from our local government leaders, concerned citizens, and the community at large. These relationships will help identify and address the needs of the county, with particular emphasis given to the current unhoused population and those in need.
