Rhonda Crowley McCrimmon is a passionate community leader, survivor, and visionary founder of Simply Blessed Strong Survivors, #SBSS, a charitable, tax-exempt, non-profit organization and restoration for the unhoused, foster youth, veterans, elderly, students, and families in crisis.
Rhonda's life journey is the heartbeat behind SBSS. She was once a foster child, searching for safety and stability. She knows firsthand what it means to feel forgotten, unseen, and broken. Later in life, she faced the unimaginable — becoming homeless, not just physically without a home, but emotionally and spiritually shattered. Yet in the darkest valley, she found divine purpose.
Fueled by faith, compassion, and a fierce desire to break cycles of poverty and pain, Rhonda turned her testimony into a mission. She didn’t just survive — she rose.
And now, she reaches back to uplift others, walking where she once stood. Under her leadership, SBSS has become more than a nonprofit — it's a movement of healing, empowerment, and action. Rhonda believes in giving a hand up, not a handout. Her voice is real. Her story is raw. Her impact is rising.
One of her favorite scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11, anchors her journey:
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
