Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to applications developed or made available under Simple Apps, including CopyNote, FileTag when released, and any other applications that may be made available through Apple’s App Store or other official distribution channels.
By downloading, installing, purchasing, accessing, or using any Simple Apps application, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the application.
Use of the Applications
Simple Apps applications are provided for personal, productivity, utility, and lawful use only.
You agree not to misuse the applications, use them for any unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing purpose, attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, modify, reproduce, redistribute, resell, or create unauthorized derivative works from them, interfere with their operation, bypass technical limitations, or use them in a manner that may damage, disable, or impair the applications or the devices on which they operate, except where such restrictions are not permitted under applicable law.
Purchases and Payments
Some Simple Apps applications may be offered for free, while others may be offered as paid applications, or may later change in pricing or availability, in accordance with Apple’s applicable rules and policies.
Where an application is offered through Apple’s App Store, all payments, billing, taxes, purchase processing, refunds, and related matters are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s applicable terms and policies.
Simple Apps does not directly process App Store payments and does not collect or store users’ payment card or billing information.
User Content
Some Simple Apps applications may allow users to create, save, edit, search, organize, import, export, copy, print, customize, apply, or manage their own content, including notes, text snippets, reference numbers, dates, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, labels, icons, symbols, emojis, text, images, files, folders, or other information entered, imported, selected, or applied by the user.
Users remain solely responsible for the content they create, enter, save, import, export, copy, print, customize, apply, share, or manage using the applications, including ensuring that such content is accurate, lawful, appropriate, and does not violate the rights of others.
Simple Apps does not claim ownership of user-created content or user-selected content.
File Customization and User Files
Some Simple Apps applications, such as FileTag when released, may allow users to customize the appearance of files or folders on their device, including by applying colors, symbols, emojis, text, labels, images, or other visual elements.
Users are solely responsible for selecting the files, folders, icons, symbols, emojis, text, labels, images, and other visual materials they use or apply through the applications.
Users should ensure that any images, icons, symbols, text, or other materials they import, select, or apply are owned by them, licensed to them, or otherwise lawfully used.
Simple Apps does not claim ownership of user files or user-selected materials and is not responsible for user choices relating to file or folder appearance, organization, labels, icons, or other visual customizations, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Storage, Files, and Backup
Some Simple Apps applications, such as CopyNote, may allow users to store data locally on their device, in a location selected by the user, or in a cloud-synced folder such as iCloud Drive when enabled and selected by the user.
Users are responsible for selecting appropriate storage locations, maintaining suitable backups, protecting their devices and accounts, managing access to their files, and ensuring that any imported, exported, transferred, printed, selected, customized, or applied content or files are correct and accessible.
Simple Apps is not responsible for any loss, deletion, corruption, overwriting, inaccessibility, failed transfer, synchronization issue, printing issue, export issue, import issue, or unintended modification of user content or files, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Transfer, Import, Export, Printing, and Similar Features
If an application includes transfer, manual sync, import, export, file selection, printing, PDF generation, customization, or similar features, these features operate based on the user’s actions, the selected files or storage locations, the permissions available on the user’s device, and the technical capabilities of the operating system or third-party services used by the user.
Simple Apps does not guarantee that any transfer, synchronization, import, export, file selection, printing, PDF generation, customization, restoration, or recovery process will always be available, successful, complete, compatible, reversible, or error-free.
No Account or Internet Requirement
Certain Simple Apps applications may operate without requiring account registration or an internet connection. However, some functions may depend on the user’s device, operating system, selected storage location, cloud service availability, App Store services, or other platform-level features outside the direct control of Simple Apps.
No Professional Advice
Simple Apps applications are general productivity, utility, and personal-use tools. They are not intended to provide legal, financial, medical, tax, professional, official, compliance-related, or business-critical advice.
Users are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any information they choose to store, copy, export, print, or rely upon through the applications.
Availability, Updates, and Discontinuation
Simple Apps may, at any time and at its discretion, update, modify, improve, limit, suspend, discontinue, remove from sale, or stop distributing any application or feature, including removing an application from Apple’s App Store, subject to applicable law, Apple’s rules, and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We do not guarantee that any application, feature, version, update, language option, appearance option, compatibility, or service will remain available indefinitely or continue to be supported in the future.
No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Simple Apps applications are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Simple Apps does not guarantee that the applications will be uninterrupted, error-free, free from defects, compatible with every device, operating system version, file type, storage location, cloud environment, printer, workflow, or user need, or that all issues will be corrected.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Simple Apps and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or loss-of-data damages, or for loss of files, loss of content, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, loss of access, failed synchronization, failed transfer, failed export, failed import, printing errors, file-customization-related outcomes, or any similar damages arising from or relating to the use of, inability to use, or reliance on the applications.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded under applicable law, it shall be limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Apple App Store
Applications distributed through Apple’s App Store are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms, conditions, rules, and policies.
Unless a custom license agreement is expressly provided through App Store Connect for a specific application, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement may apply to that application in addition to these Terms of Use.
Intellectual Property
The applications, including their software, design, interface, features, structure, names, branding, logos, icons, graphics, text, and related materials, are owned by Simple Apps or its developer, except for third-party materials, open-source components, platform components, system resources, or user-selected materials owned by their respective rights holders.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, resell, commercially exploit, or create unauthorized derivative works from the applications or their materials except as permitted by applicable law, Apple’s applicable terms, or relevant third-party or open-source licenses.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
