CopyNote Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CopyNote handles information when you use the application.
CopyNote is a privacy-focused note application designed for macOS, iPhone, and iPad. The application allows users to create, edit, organize, search, copy, export, print, and manage personal notes directly on their own devices.
Information We Collect
CopyNote does not collect, receive, store, sell, analyze, or share users’ personal information.
The application does not require users to create an account with Simple Apps or provide personal information such as their name, phone number, email address, or location.
User Content
Users may create and manage their own content, including but not limited to:
Notes
Custom fields
Record numbers
Dates
Phone numbers
Email addresses
Addresses
Text
Emojis
Icons
Any other information entered by the user
All content remains under the user’s control.
Simple Apps does not access, read, upload, analyze, or store user-created content on its own servers.
Local Storage
By default, CopyNote stores data locally on the user’s device.
The application stores notes inside the application’s private storage area, which is managed by the operating system.
Optional Google Drive Sync
CopyNote includes an optional Google Drive synchronization feature.
Google Drive Sync is disabled by default and is activated only if the user explicitly signs in with their own Google account and enables synchronization.
When enabled:
The application requests access only to the user’s private Google Drive appDataFolder.
The application cannot access the user’s normal Google Drive files or folders.
Notes are synchronized only inside the application’s private storage area in Google Drive.
Simple Apps does not receive, store, or have access to synchronized data.
Google account authentication is used solely to enable synchronization between the user’s own devices.
Google Account Information
When Google Drive Sync is enabled, CopyNote receives only the information required for authentication and synchronization through Google’s OAuth system.
The application does not collect, store, or share the user’s Google password.
Authentication is handled entirely by Google’s secure sign-in system.
Internet Usage
Most CopyNote features work completely offline.
An internet connection is required only for optional services such as Google Drive synchronization.
Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
CopyNote does not include:
Analytics services
Advertising SDKs
User tracking
Cross-app tracking
Behavioral profiling
Crash reporting services
Marketing SDKs
No advertising identifiers are collected.
Third-Party Services
CopyNote communicates only with Google services when the user voluntarily enables Google Drive Sync.
These services are governed by Google’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
No other third-party services are used to collect user information.
Notifications
If the user enables reminder notifications, reminder scheduling is performed locally on the user’s device.
Notification data is never transmitted to Simple Apps.
Data Security
CopyNote is designed to minimize data collection.
User notes are not transmitted to servers operated by Simple Apps.
When Google Drive Sync is enabled, synchronization occurs directly between the application and the user’s own Google Drive account.
Users remain responsible for protecting:
Their devices
Their Google account
Their backups
Their exported files
Children’s Privacy
CopyNote does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
