I taught a course on toric geometry at MPI MiS Leipzig in the fall semester of 2021. For more information, click here.
I was a teaching assistant for this course from 2016 until 2020. The course is taught by my supervisor Marc Van Barel and Stefan Vandewalle. It is a 3rd year bachelor course for the engineering students which is divided in two parts: numerical linear algebra and approximation theory. Students are introduced to the most important NLA algorithms for solving linear systems, least squares problems, eigenvalue problems, ... and to approximation theory and approximation tools such as Fourier transforms, splines, geometric modeling, .... You can find a more detailed description (in Dutch) here.
This is an introductory course on numerical mathematics for first year bachelor students in mathematics and informatics. It is taught by my supervisor Marc Van Barel. I was teaching assistant for this course in 2017. You can find a more detailed description of the course (in Dutch) here.
The courses "Using toric geometry" and "Introduction to toric geometry" listed above have lead to a book in progress. A subset of chapters is available here (this will be gradually updated). Any comments are most welcome.
