Syrian Volunteers in Germany
The start of the organisation
On the evening of 14.07.2021, many cities and villages in Germany were hit by the flood.
The E-learning startup, Pontem Pro, started with friends a Facebook group on 17.07.2021 to translate real-time information on social media from German to Arabic so that the calls for help could reach more people.
People reacted intensively to the initiative, and on 19.07.2021,
we were on-site to set up headquarters for our team. People with migration backgrounds came to Sinzig from all over Germany to offer help.
CoWorking SINZIG was a fantastic place to start, where they incubated us, and then together we became a bigger team.
We engaged more than 250 volunteers, mostly migrants, and helped more than 250 families and places in Rhineland-Palatinate.
