Simone Carano

Welcome to my personal website! 

I am a postdoc in Mathematical Analysis at University of Trento (Italy) in the group of Paolo Bonicatto, funded by the FIS2 - BRIDGE project.

My principal research interests are in the field of Calculus of Variations and Geometric Measure Theory.

Until September 2026, I was postdoc in Bath and Reading (UK) working with Roger Moser and Nikos Katzourakis on the project "The Supreme Challenges of Supremal Functionals".

In 2023, I completed my PhD at SISSA, in Trieste, under the supervision of Giovanni Bellettini, where I have studied the problem of relaxation of the area functional in codimension 2.
