About the Artist

Heyo!

My name is Larkspur, but I go by Lark for short. I'm a 20 year old trans-dude (he/him/his pronouns, if you please) who's been making art since he could hold a pencil. I especially enjoy drawing traditionally, digitally, and painting with acrylics. My comfort zone is definitely animals and nature, though I will push myself to draw other things, they may simply take a little longer to complete.

So far, I've completed two years of post-secondary education at a community college where I earned my Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts (so, just my general classes *shrugs*). I'm hoping to pursue a career in...well, something. I haven't exactly figured that out yet.

My grandfather was also an artist, and taught me how to see the world through an artistic lens from a young age. He has been the single most inspirational person in my life, and my work is done with him in memory.

(Potentially) helpful advice: if you make art, don't let anybody ever tell you that you aren't an artist. Remember that there isn't such a thing as "good art" or "bad art", because art is subjective; people are going to have differing opinions, likes, and dislikes. That should never deter you from creating more. Your artistic journey should be about you, and it should be about your personal growth.

Learn what you want to learn, create what you want to create, and improve on the technicalities you feel you need to improve on. It's impossible to move backwards in creativity, so don't let yourself get stuck, keep creating, and stay golden.
