Student evaluations of teaching are a summative assessment of my teaching practices throughout a term. They are an essential part of refining and tuning my teaching. I respond to student evaluations through changing my teaching practices to make my classroom inclusive and effective. They also serve as evidence that the practices I implement have worked. At the bottom of this section you can find some selected student comments that help demonstrate my the effectiveness of my teaching style.
My student evaluation of teaching (SET) averages have consistently been above the average score for my department and the university as a whole. When I have been the lead teacher, I have maintained a higher average than both my department (red curve labeled INBI-Sci) and the university (not pictured). Two bars are present in Fall '17, Winter '18, and Spring '18 because I lead one section (the bar on the left) and assisted another section (the bar on the right).
How you taught lab was straight forward but also engaging. You let us say our opinions and not rub your ideas and say "this is my way of doing it". (some TA was like that) You made lab fun and your personality made it not boring! There's nothing to improve on really, your teaching skills is superb.

Noah was fantastic! Really looked forward to going to lab, even at 8 am, to learn about biology in the enthusiastic and energetic manner that he delivered in class. Super approachable, always down to help, all the good stuff. Keep up the good work, and good luck with your grad stuffs!

I cannot think of any outlying flaws in Noah's instruction. He was always very passionate about teaching, especially for an 8am lab. His grading was fair, he took our feedback into consideration and really made sure we understood the concepts.
