Meet Carolyn and Mike Rice
Carolyn Rice
Carolyn Rice is an energetic tour de force that entertains and performs with the utmost professionalism. Carolyn began training Quarter horses on a ranch in south Arizona and has ridden for trainers such as Cal Cooper and Lynne Palme. She joined Ringling Brothers as a dancer in 1990 and moved on to other circuses with her aerial act, hoola hoop act, and whip cracking/rope spinning act. Her specialty, however, was the training of hoof stock. She has trained giraffes, hippos, zebras, goats, pigs, camels, llamas, dogs, and horses. Her favorite animals to train are the giraffes. Carolyn is a loving dog owner and takes incredible pride in performing with her pawed family. When not performing, you can find her interacting with the crowds and ensuring that the guests that ride a Silk Road Camel have an amazingly memorable experience.
Carolyn and Mike Rice have a have a combined 60 years of animal training experience. Using positive reinforcement techniques to spotlight each animal's natural abilities, they have presented many exciting and entertaining animal acts throughout the US and Canada and look forward to working with you!
Mike Rice
Mike Rice is a seasoned animal trainer, performer, and entrepreneur. Mike's animal training and handling experience is well-rounded and extensive. Mike began his career as a Bull man (Elephant Trainer) on the Christiana - Wallace Circus in the 1960's. Throughout his long career he has trained and presented elephants, big cats, bears, chimps, dogs, horses, zebras, camels, llamas, and trout. Mike has decades of experience training animals for circuses, renaissance faires, and nativity scenes across the globe. He has worked on many circuses, as well as on television and on film. Mike takes the utmost care to ensure safety, entertainment, and satisfaction of his audiences, customers, and clients.
