How?

We bring together a broad spectrum of people with Silicon Valley ties to learn about importance of biodiversity, threats to it, and ways each of us can act to lessen these.

In partnership with public and private property owners and managers we monitor selected sites, collect and prepare specimens, sequence DNA to generate DNA barcodes, identify associated organisms, and upload data to Barcode of Life Data Systems, freely available online worldwide.

We'll be glad to come present to your school, class, Rotary, environmental group, business, or other audience you think might might be interested in learning more.

Entomologist Jack Owicki teaches volunteers about the specimens they've collected.
