Sirshendu Hore  a self employed person who previously  worked as an Assistant Professor & HOD  in the Department of Cyber Security at iLEAD where he has been a faculty member since 2023. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Technology at Hooghly Engineering & Technology College from 2007 to 2023. Before that, he was a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Applications at JIS College of Engineering (2004–2007) and worked as a corporate trainer in several reputed organizations from 1998 to 2004.

He completed his PhD in computer Science & Engineering  at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly West Bengal University of Technology), 

Dr,. Hore also completed his M.Tech at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly West Bengal University of Technology), where he was awarded a gold medal for academic excellence.

Sirshendu actively involved in the teaching and learning process for more than 20 years. His Teaching Interest includes Compiler Design, Cloud Computing, Soft Computing, Database Management System, Object-Oriented Programming, Cryptography, Network Security, and Software Engineering.

He has worked as a Mentor in different national level coding competitions organized by IBM(Great Mind Challenge), Infosys (Aspiration 2020), Microsoft (Academic Project Program) and also worked as a mentor in Smart India Hackathon 2017. 

Dr. Hore was awarded best performing mentor for two successive sessions in the Academic year 2018-19 by National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), a joint initiative of  IITs and IISC 

Sirshendu actively involved in P.G and U.G Level project guidance and evaluation process. He is also engaged as a question paper setter, moderator, and examiner for several reputed universities and colleges in India. 

His research interests include Data Mining, Machine Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, Optimization Techniques, and Image Processing. He has organized and participated in the various workshops. Attended several International/National Conferences and has published more than 35 research works in reputed International Journals/Conferences including 6 book chapters. 

Dr. Hore is a regular reviewer in some reputed International Journals including Inderscience, Springer,Elsevier, MDPI, and IGI Global. Sirshendu is also a regular reviewer/sub-reviewer in different International Conferences, organized under the banner of Springer, IEEE, and IET, etc.
