Sirshendu Hore is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer science & Engineering at Hooghly Engineering & Technology college(www.hetc.ac.in). The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT.

He has completed his M.Tech. from the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly Known as West Bengal University of Technology) and was awarded with Gold medal for his academic excellence in the course. Now, he is pursuing Ph.D in Computer science and Technology.

Sirshendu actively involved in teaching and learning process for more than 15 years. His Teaching Interest interests lies in the area ranging from theoretical design to implementation. Compiler Design, Cloud Computing, Soft Computing, Database Management System, Object Oriented Programming, Cryptography and Network Security, Software Engineering are some of the area of his expertise.

In Programming Language domain he has deep interest in Java both core and Advanced , Net (C# and VB), C , C++ , PL/SQL, MATLAB, Python and R.

IBM(Great Mind Challenge), Infosys (Aspiration 2020), Microsoft (Academic Project Program) and Smart India Hackathon 2017 are some of the national level prestigious coding competition events where Mr Hore has worked as a Mentor.

His research interest includes Data Mining, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Optimization Techniques and Image processing .In research he actively collaborated with researchers from several other disciplines of engineering. Sirshendu is engaged as a reviewer , external examiner, moderator, paper setter and project evaluator for various international /national bodies, universities and colleges in India.
