I'm currently in my third year at Sheridan College's Bachelor of Game Design program. Games have been a part of my life since I was 5 years old- my parents got a Wii, and we played as a family constantly. I've always seen games as a way to connect with others, whether that's through playing together, streaming for friends, or even in fandom settings.
When I'm not at my computer, I love the outdoors- I was a girl guide for twelve years, and I've been camping with my family since I was a little kid. One of my favourite camping memories was actually an overnight canoe trip where it ended up hailing the whole time (we were freezing, but it was worth it).
In true nerd fashion, I love Dungeons and Dragons. I've been DMing for almost three years, first for my family and then for my friends. I recently finished a campaign I'd been DMing for 2 years!
I believe the main purpose of a game should be to bring people joy- from experiencing a deep story to the triumph of beating a really hard boss. No matter what, the kinds of games I want to create are ones that make the world a better place in their own small way.
