We will have an informal poster session where anyone (students, faculty, etc.) can present a poster showcasing their work.
Posters can be recycled from past conferences and will not be subject to peer review. We only ask for the poster title and author names in advance. There is no abstract required, but you may submit one if you have one, or include a short (2-3 sentence summary) informal summary of the project.
At least one poster presenter should be able to present in ASL.
The following posters will be presented during the session:
Numerals in Egyptian Sign Language- Ethan Hartzell
A review of graduate coursework preparing speech-language pathologists to work with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing clients- Brittany Lee
Early Bilingual Vocabulary Development in ASL and spoken English- Elana Pontecorvo
Repetition and handshape intrusion in the fluent signing of an autistic, Deaf adolescent- Kristin Walker (Jenny Singleton)
Last but not least - Exploring the syntax & semantics of the clause-final position in Hong Kong Sign Language- Linghui (Eva) Gan
The role of sign type, sign familiarity, and perceiver proficiency on gaze patterns during sign perception- Paris Gappmayr (Amy Lieberman)
The Family ASL Project- Diane Lillo-Martin
Processing weak drop by (non-)signers of Shanghai Sign Language- Shengyun Gu
Are measures of nonverbal reasoning truly nonlinguistic? Evidence from deaf, hard-of-hearing and typically hearing children- Madeline Quam and Marie Coppola
We recommend that posters be displayed in landscape orientation, and that you use 4' (wide) x 3' (high) sizing
