A few members of Evergreen School Division.
March 23, 2026 7:00 PM Eastern
Join us for a free panel discussion featuring Evergreen School Division, leader in educational innovation and recipient of the 2024 Dyslexia Canada Educational Excellence Award. This webinar is designed for educators, school and system leaders, and researchers interested in district-level improvement and data-informed practice.
Evergreen, located in rural Manitoba, completely reformed its early literacy program in 2022. Primary and elementary reading achievement has increased significantly. In this panel, Evergreen leaders will discuss how they enacted explicit and direct instruction, structured literacy, and an innovative response-to-intervention system. Evergreen’s effective efforts were not just in early literacy: student scores on the 2024 provincial high school pre-calculus assessments far outpace the provincial average.
In this session, leaders and teachers from Evergreen School Division will share their insights from the process of curriculum and instructional reform. The focus will be on how evidence-based practices were introduced, scaled, and sustained. The conversation will be facilitated by Jeanne Sinclair of Memorial University and Joelle Rodway of Ontario Tech University. Register today!
