Sigma Nu Phi's main philanthropy is S.O.S. Community Services, a non-profit organization based right here in Washtenaw County. Their main goal is to prevent and eradicate family homelessness in the Washtenaw County area. Their mission is to promote housing stability and family self-sufficiency through collaboration, care, and respect. They provide a safe shelter, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing for families. They also offer after-school programs for children in order to provide familiar and safe environments for learning, play, and growth.

Every April, Sigma Nu Phi participates in EMU's annual Relay for Life supporting the American Cancer Society. This event involved both fundraising prior to the event, as well as an on-site fundraiser.
As part of EMU's Greek Life, Sigma Nu Phi participates in the efforts to raise money for Make-a-Wish Michigan, EMU Greek Life's chosen philanthropy. We participate in community events such as the Make-a-Wish Charity Ball, as well as put on private fundraising events, such as Dine to Donates, in order to fulfill the wishes of children facing life-threatening illnesses.
Members are always encouraged, and given the opportunity, to participate in other endeavors supporting the community as well.
