Sigma Nu Phi was founded right here at Eastern Michigan University on September 30, 1897. We were the first sorority on campus, and to this day, we remain the only local chapter at EMU. We are also the oldest continually-functioning local sorority in the nation. As a local chapter, we have a rich history in the Washtenaw County area and on Eastern's campus.
