Tesla is focused largely on sustainability, both of the car and of the environment. The cars are composed of top-notch materials and technologies that allow the model to be a cut above the rest in functionality, comfort, and luxury. The company is constantly innovating especially by working with cameras and sensors on their newer models that will eventually lead them to creating completely self-driving cars.
Both the product and the venture are remarkable because of how different they are from their "competitors" (a loosely-used term in this case) and how true to its original vision today's reality of it is. Their goal is to create a fully sustainable life for the people of the future through products such as solar powered roof tiles and cars.
An example of how much money a customer could save per year by owning a Tesla rather than a gas-powered car.
We talked to Phoebe, a saleswoman in the showroom about her experience interacting with strangers and working at Tesla. She had a lot of positive thoughts and reflections on both topics!
1. INNOVATE, INNOVATE, INNOVATE!!
Tesla always has their eyes on the prize. Thinking about possibilities and wants for the future and empathizing with their current clients allows them to constantly improve and in turn, achieve success in a shorter period than that of competitors. This quick success is what allows them to be one step ahead of everyone else.
2. CREATE A STRONG NETWORK
Phoebe emphasized the importance of loyalty of both clients and employees to the wellbeing of the company. It is extremely beneficial to have employees that actually back the company mission and are engaged workers. Having a great staff will attract likewise great clients that will develop a love for the product and keep coming back. Additionally, people share the things they love. One loyal client has a network of people to recommend the product to, who can also become loyal clients. This network is the key to a far-reaching business model, and in turn, a more successful company.
3. BE ORIGINAL
There are already so many similar products competing within the market, which makes success and revenue a gamble for each new company that hopes to join the ranks. The variability of success is significantly lower when the product is unique: something consumers haven't seen yet. This uniqueness is a large reason why Tesla is the company it is today. It produces one-of-a-kind cars that you can only get from them. A good goal to have in mind, inspired by Tesla, is to have a product so good that people only want to get it from you. A lot can be said about Tesla's originality of product and business model and other companies may want to take note of the strength it has given them in the market.
