Plenary speaker in the third edition of the workshop "Efficient high-order time discretization methods for PDEs",
May 13-16, 2025 at Villa Orlandi - Capri, Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Italy.
Sigal Gottlieb received her PhD from Brown University in 1998 and in 1999 joined the Mathematics Department at UMass Dartmouth, where she is currently Chancellor Professor in the Department of Mathematics, and founding co-director of the Center for Scientific Computing and Data Science Research. She is a Fellow of SIAM (class of 2019) and of the Association for Women in Mathematics (class of 2021). Her work on strong stability preserving time-stepping and spatial schemes for time-dependent PDEs has garnered over 10,000 citations. Her recent work has focused on efficient temporal and spatial discretizations, including mixed model and mixed-precision approaches.
