Explores how microbial and environmental exposures become developmental signals that shape phenotypes, disease susceptibility, and evolutionary trajectories

My Research?

“I partner with the microbes we’ve nearly nuked. Every dose of broad-spectrum antibiotics trims the gut’s living library, yet those tiny survivors moonlight as VIP architects of the brain. I track how their neuroactive whispers flip our genomic switchboard, especially the human-accelerated regions that helped brains evolve in the first place. Armed with in-silico HAR sleuthing, peptide/metabolite treasure hunts and gnotobiotic-mouse time machines, I’m hunting for next-gen bugs-as-drugs to keep minds sharp from womb to adulthood.

Think of it as giving your thoughts smarter roommates - minus the melodrama.”
