My Research?

“I partner with the microbes we’ve nearly nuked. Every dose of broad-spectrum antibiotics trims the gut’s living library, yet those tiny survivors moonlight as VIP architects of the brain. I track how their neuroactive whispers flip our genomic switchboard, especially the human-accelerated regions that helped brains evolve in the first place. Armed with in-silico HAR sleuthing, peptide/metabolite treasure hunts and gnotobiotic-mouse time machines, I’m hunting for next-gen bugs-as-drugs to keep minds sharp from womb to adulthood.

Think of it as giving your thoughts smarter roommates - minus the melodrama.”
