With this first meeting, we want to
Create an opportunity for scientific researchers to meet, network, and share the innovations and recent developments in their fields.
Attract and energize a diverse group of students and researchers working in applied and computational mathematics and related fields.
Offer opportunities to present their work to SIAM members from various institutions in the region who for various reasons (e.g., child care, financial situation, and time and schedule constraints) often struggle to participate at national and international meetings.
Provide early career researchers the access and opportunities to connect with others who are at similar career stages.
Inspire the next generation of applied and computational mathematicians to get involved in the community and to innovate through research and education.
