Hi! My name is Shunsuke Kamiya (call me Shun, SK, or whatever you like).
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Tokyo (supervisor: Masafumi Oizumi). Before pursuing my Ph.D. career, I used to be a surgical resident at a hospital in Okinawa prefecture (southernmost & westernmost island of Japan).
My main research interest lies in how we can draw out meaningful information from high-dimensional neural dynamics. I try to answer the question with mathematical frameworks including dynamic mode decomposition (DMD), and Koopman operator method.
I'm from Japan and I'm now living in Tokyo with my wife and two kids.
