My name is Shukang Xiao. I am assistant professor at Li Anmin Institute of  Economic Research, Liaoning University. I obtained my PHD degree from University of Calgary. Prior to my graduate studies at Calgary, I completed my master degree in  Economics at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and undergraduate degreee in Management at Tongji University.

I am an applied microeconomist. My research areas include Development Economics, Family Economics and Political Economy. Especially, I pay attention to the economic determinants of political behaviors, the social and economic consequences of land property rights reform and the formation of cultural behaviors and beliefs.
