Show Choir

KNIGHT RHYTHMS - COMPETITIVE STAGE CHOIR

Knight Rhythms is our full competitive stage choir. This is the choir from which all students originate. Every student in the program is a part of this ensemble and assigned to a show choir. However the primary focus of this choir is community service performing by invitation for various community organizations primarily in NEPA. This choir competes in competitions/festivals as they become available.

FIRST EDITION - MIXED SHOW CHOIR

First Edition is our mixed ensemble consisting of boys and girls in four parts. It is the first show choir that we formed here at Scranton HS and the first competitive show choir in the state.

GLITTER & GOLD - UNISEX SHOW CHOIR

Glitter & Gold is an unisex (all-female) show choir consisting of twenty four female voices singing up to four part harmonies. It is the second show choir we created here at Scranton HS and the first competitive unisex show choir in the state.

All students in the Show Choir Program are afforded numerous opportunities to travel throughout the school year, both for competitions and performances, as well as an extended Spring trip. Students in this group perform at the highest level, and attend rehearsals twice weekly outside the school day, in addition to the scheduled class time during the school day. This group is for any student who has a strong interest in singing, dancing, and can committ the time it takes to polish the performances we put on, and maintain the level of excellene that the program is known for. Show choir students spend a large amount of time together throughout the school year, including a week long camp mid-summer, and inherently become a large family, students in this group maintain those friendships for years after, and continue to remain part of our Show Choir family.
