Concert Choir is a performance group dedicated to a variety of vocal repertoires. It is open to all students in grades 9-12 and to all students who have an interest in choral music and performance. Mandatory public performances include holiday and spring concerts. An audition is not required for this choir. Students who like to sing will be given the opportunity to do so with this performance group.
This group will have the opportunity to travel twice during the school year, once in December to see a musical, and once in June to participate in Music in the Parks at various amusement parks, subject to change each school year based on schedule availability and student interest. This group may also be presented with additional opportunities to perform prepared concert music as they become available, with those performances being optional at this level.
Concert Choir additionally acts both as a training ground for students who have the desire to move into more advanced choirs in upper grades, and as a group for any students that want to sing and participate in the program without the numerous time commitments outside of the school day that come with being in an upper level choir. This course counts toward graduation, and can be repeated all four years of high school.
