Marching Band

Marching Band is an extra-curricular group that rehearses outside the school day, and acts as an extension to our band program. Students are not required to do concert band if they would like to do marching band, and vice versa. The marching band meets at the end of the summer for two weeks every day for band camp, and rehearses two days a week once school starts. The group performs every Friday night for our football games, in parades scheduled throughout the year, community functions, for visiting politicians, and whatever else may come up. The director actively works with athletic coaches to ensure students can participate in whatever sports they do, and still play in the band in order to provide every student with the most balanced and well-rounded high school experience that we can at Scranton High.
