(free-to-use live wallpaper)
Changeable characters! Change the theme colors according to your favorite SDR2 character by pressing the chat button.
Day and time information! Just like the game, the day and time widget indicates Morning, Daytime, Nighttime, and Midnight, with the theme changing colors for daytime versus nighttime.
Animated weather icon! There are four different icons: sun, moon, rain, and cloud. They change depending on the time/weather. (Note: rain has not been tested. If you run into an issue, let me know!)
Music indicator! True to the game, if you play music on your device, you'll see the song name on the top left. Tap the song name to open the music app, the guitar to play/pause, and the visualizer bars to skip to the next song.
Except for the character sprites and the Hope's Peak Academy logo, all assets were made by yours truly :)
To use this theme, you’ll need a few things first.
A device running Android! Newer versions work better for obvious reasons. Sorry, I don’t think Apple supports this much customization.
KLWP Pro for importing/exporting live wallpapers. You need both the app and the key! You can probably find an APK somewhere.
A launcher that supports wallpaper scrolling! The default launcher doesn’t. I highly recommend Nova Launcher for best results.
This wallpaper works best with three screens. It might work fine with more, but any less could be wonky. This wallpaper also works best in portrait mode.
You’ll need to download two things, the KLWP file and the image assets zip file.
Open the KLWP app and accept all permissions.
We need to the move the image assets to the right place. Extract the zip file and move the folder to the Kustom folder that should have been automatically created after you downloaded the KLWP app.
I recommend doing this via your computer and a USB cable. Otherwise, I believe there are some zip extraction and file manager apps on the Play Store.
The location should now look like Kustom/SDR2Wallpaper/hajime.png etc.
Now open the KLWP app again.
In the side menu on the top left, click Load Preset. Click the folder icon on the top right and find the KLWP file to import.
Press the save icon on the top right to apply the wallpaper.
And now you’re done! I recommend using pixel-style icons for the apps. I used PixBit's icon pack. I personally got rid of the bottom navigation bar through the Nova Launcher settings as well.
Make sure that Nova Launcher is the default launcher (or whatever scrollable screen launcher you use). Turn on wallpaper scrolling.
If the images don't show up, make sure that when you extract the images, they are in the correct location! Sometimes, zip extraction tools will create a folder with the same name, so the location ends up being Kustom/SDR2Wallpaper/SDR2Wallpaper/hajime.png etc. instead of just Kustom/SDR2Wallpaper/hajime.png. Make sure it's the second one!
If you'd like to change the date to dd/MM format instead of MM/dd format, go into the KLWP app and click Date/Time Widget > TEXT > the first one. Change MM/dd to dd/MM. Save and you're done.
