Interested in competing in Science Olympiad in middle school? Really love science and want to learn more? Just bored over quarantine? We are offering summer classes for incoming middle schoolers. The classes are based off of the events that we compete in during Science Olympiad. Topics include chemistry, biology, genetics, physics, and many others. These classes span 6 weeks and are taught by high schoolers on our A team, and will be held once a week over Zoom on Saturday or Sunday nights at 7:30 pm. Each subject is hosted at the same time, so students can not sign up for more than one subject per day. Please sign up for only one subject per day and different subjects on each day (i.e. Bio on Saturday, Chem on Sunday). Register now, classes start on 6/27 and 6/28! **
Tuition is 60$ for each 3 week session of 2 different classes on Saturday and Sunday; the first 60$ is due up front, and the rest is due at the end. This means that tuition for classes on both days will total up to $120, and for one class per weekend will total up to $60. For example, Joe could take chemistry on Saturday and Biology on Sunday, this would be 120$ total ($60 prior to the start of classes, $60 after three weeks has passed)
Sign up here; tuition is paid through PayPal (send us an email for the username to send it to).
You can opt in to take just one class (either Saturday or Sunday) each weekend. In that case, tuition is half ( 30$ for each 3 week session; the first 30$ is due up front, and the rest is due at the end)

** We are continuing classes through the July 4th weekend. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are not planning to attend class that weekend. ***
Offerings:
Biology: Learn about how life on Earth works! Topics include the human body, genetics, and ecology. This class will help prepare you for Anatomy and Physiology, Heredity, and Water Quality.
Chemistry: Learn about the building blocks of matter and how they react! Topics include food chemistry, forensics, acids and bases, and solutions. This class will help prepare you for Crime Busters, Potions and Poisons, Density Lab, and Food Science.
Computer Science: Learn how to code in Python! This class covers basics (variables, conditionals, loops, functions, etc) to intermediates (objects, searching, sorting, etc) with different exercises and challenges to sharpen your skills.
Earth and Space: Learn about the solar system, including the Earth. Topics include geology, astronomy, the weather, topography, and map reading. This class will help prepare you for Dynamic Planet, Meteorology, Solar Systems, and Road Scholar.
Physics: Learn about the interactions between matter, energy, and forces! Topics include kinematics, Newton's three laws, circuits, electricity, and magnetism. This class will help prepare you for Circuit Lab, Machines, and Thermodynamics.
Scientific Writing and Experimentation: Learn how to write precisely and design your own experiments! Topics include detailed report writing and description of objects. We will first learn the basics of scientific writing, then do experiments that cover a variety of topics. This class will help prepare you for Experimental Design and Write it Do it.
