Interested candidates please email CV and a brief research interest.

Introduction

I am an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Urban Planning at IIT Jodhpur. I was previously a Post Doctoral Research Fellow employed with Singapore Management University. I was a part of the Cooling Singapore 2.0 Project led by the Singapore ETH Centre. By education, I am an urban planner-architect turned climatologist. My area of interest includes the application of statistical modeling, computational and sensing techniques to solve risks and hazards associated with the Environment and Society focusing on extreme heat mitigation, microscale climate modeling, human biometeorology, nature-based solutions, informal settlements, and urban resilience.

I have been elected as the Asia Councilor of International Society of Biometeorology (ISB) for 2023-26, responsible for promoting biometeorology research in Asia. I am also an early career member of International Association of Urban Climate (IAUC), responsible for various outreach.

Besides research and academics, I am also enthusiastic about traveling, photography, and painting. An avid reader and movie buff, I hold a keen interest in mentoring undergrad and grad students (especially female students in STEM) for various career needs.
