Costumes

All costumes will be fit in class by our front desk staff and/or instructors.   You will receive your costume in a zippered garment bag with all accessories and tights (if needed for costume).  Opened tights CAN NOT BE RETURNED due to hygienic reasons so please double check you have received the correct size and reviewed the height/weight chart on the back of the tights box before opening.  Once the costume has been sent home, you are responsible for the loss of any accessories, tights or the costume itself.  Replacement costs will apply.  Please keep it in a safe spot and do not wear it for dress-up or other purposes until after all performances are complete!

Tights & Shoes

For our recitals, we match our dancers tights to their skin tone, as opposed to having all dancers in the classic pink color. If you want your students shoes to match their tights, we do sell skin-tone ballet shoes, jazz shoes, and turners in our Boutique. All required shoes can be purchased in the BC Boutique.  Stop by the office before or after class to get fitted for any shoes you need, and place your order.  Do not wait till the last minute.  Shoes can take up to two weeks to ship!

Undergarments

No visible undergarments on stage. If your child is wearing tights, they should not wear underwear as well.  They will bunch and stick out of their costumes, leaving them visible in ALL photos. For older dancers, many costumes do not require a bra, however, if you need one, please ensure there are NO STRAPS SHOWING.  Some acceptable options are strapless bras, clear strap bras, or boob tape.  You can purchase nude bras with clear back straps in our BC Boutique. Please have your child wear recital undergarments to picture day so we can ensure it is appropriate for performance.

Additional costume information

ALL HAIRPIECES go on the right side of your students' heads. 

Any jewelry or accessories not included with the costume shall not be worn for picture day or the recital.   

NO brightly colored nail polish or long fake nails.
