Nancy Lihan - Owner
Nancy began performing professionally upon receiving her BA in Theater in 1977. Her first job was as lead dancer in a musical revue at Opryland USA in Nashville, TN. In 1978 she was chosen to be the spokesperson for the Opryland season by being featured in numerous commercials, radio voice overs, and then a TV pilot for NBC. As a lead vocalist and dancer, she toured the US and Japan with various nightclub acts and bands. Nancy began a teaching career in both dance and fitness, eventually opening Showbiz Kidz in 1996. She is now soaking up the sun in Florida where she is teaching dance, performing, playing her flute and singing with her church choir.
Kimberly Wolcott - Director/Instructor/Choreographer
Kimberly received her B.F.A. in Dance from Rider University. While attending school, she danced at Princeton Ballet School and with the American Repertory Ballet. She attended Princeton Ballet’s summer intensive on full scholarship. Upon graduating, Kimberly taught several classes at Princeton Ballet School and also taught for American Repertory Ballet’s Outreach Program. In 2002, Miss Kim began teaching all styles of dance and acrobatics at Showbiz Kidz. Now Director of Showbiz Kidz, Kim teaches both recreational and competition students of all levels.
Malysha Kunka - Instructor/Choreographer
Malysha started dancing at the age of three and continued until she was twenty four years old. She studied dance at Stanton Studios and was a member of the Phillipsburg Dance Team through her high school years. Malysha finished her dance training at Showbiz Kidz from 2001-2004, and returned to our studio in 2010 to teach recreational and competition teams specializing in jazz, hip-hop, ballet/lyrical & acrobatics while pursuing a career in healthcare business management at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Allison DeNuzzie - Instructor/Choreographer
Allison began her dance training at age 3 in Piscataway, NJ. She joined Showbiz Kidz in 2001, and was a student of Miss Nancy & Miss Kim's until she graduated high school. Allison graduated magna cum laude from Moravian College and danced with the Moravian College Dance Company all four years. Allison joined the teaching staff of Showbiz Kidz while in college in Summer 2009 and continues dancing and learning in every dance style, frequently attending dance teacher conventions and adult classes at Broadway Dance Center (NYC), Tap Ties (Lehigh Valley), and Hubbard Street Dance (Chicago).
Sarah Wilchuck - Instructor/Choreographer/Desk Staff
Sarah began dancing at Showbiz Kidz in 2003 at the age of five and joined our competition program in 2007. She continued to dance competitively through high school and was a class assistant for eight years before joining our teaching staff in 2018. A member of the NJCBAA and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Societies, Sarah graduated with a Associates Degree in Business Administration from Warren County Community College and has been a member of our desk staff for the last six years.
Katelyn Heinrichs - Instructor/Choreographer
Katelyn began dancing at Showbiz Kidz in 2005 and joined our competition program in 2008 at the age of seven. She was a class assistant for six years and a student teacher for three years while in high school. Kate has choreographed for local productions of Peter Pan, Newsies, and Addams Family Jr. before returning to Showbiz Kidz in 2020 to teach. Most recently, Kate choreographed for the North Hunterdon Dance Team. Pursuing a dual degree in Dance Education and Business, Kate currently attends Stockton University, where she was a member of their Dance Team for two years, a four-year member of the Stockton Dance Company and Public Relations Chair for the Stockton Dance Club.
Karen Verso - Instructor
Karen Verso performed professionally as a principal soloist for the New Jersey Ballet, Ohio Ballet, and the Dayton Ballet. She has also had may featured roles under the direction of Twyla Tharp and has performed extensively throughout Europe, Canada, South America, and the United States. Karen has taught at many colleges and universities and has held various management positions at prestigious ballet companies. She was a faculty member of the Dayton Ballet and The New Jersey School of Ballet. She was also the assistant to the choreographer for the re-staging of Jerome Robbins works at the New York City Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet. Karen has also been a co-director and instructor for the past 20 years at the Dance Center of NJ in Bedminster, NJ.
Jessica Catanzaro - Instructor/Choreographer
Jessica began dancing at Showbiz Kidz in 2013 and became a member of our competition program in 2017. She has been a class assistant at the studio for the last four years and joined our teaching staff in 2021. Jessica enjoys giving her passion a purpose, and loves working with our younger dancers. Jessica currently attends Warren County Community College, majoring in Early Childhood Education.
Maddy Heinrichs - Instructor/Choreographer
Maddy began dancing at Showbiz Kidz at the age of three and joined our Competition Program in 2012. She was a class assistant at the studio before graduating from Phillipsburg High School in 2021. Maddy currently attends Warren County Community College, where she is pursuing a degree in Communications. Maddy is excited to join our teaching staff this year.
Sarah Lemay - Instructor/Choreographer
Sarah began dancing at Showbiz Kidz in 2006 and joined our Competition Program in 2012. She was a class assistant at the studio for two years before graduating high school with honors. Sarah currently attends Montclair University, where she is pursuing a BFA in Dance, and was on her school's Dance Team. We welcome Sarah to our teaching staff this year, and she is very excited to work with our competition teams.
