Shovon shaha

I am a Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering graduate and research professional specializing in immunology, molecular genetics, and genomics. Currently working as a Research Officer at BIRDEM General Hospital, I focus on applying molecular and immunological techniques to detect diseases and uncover clinically relevant biomarkers. My work combines laboratory-based diagnostics such as PCR and ELISA with next-generation sequencing approaches to better understand complex disease mechanisms, including cancer.

With a strong academic background from Islamic University, Bangladesh, I have developed expertise in microbiology, bioinformatics, and genomic data analysis. My research journey has included projects on antibiotic resistance in gut microbiota, antibiotic-producing bacteria, and whole genome sequencing of exoelectrogenic bacteria, shaping my interest in the intersection of microbial systems and human health.

I am passionate about bridging research and real-world healthcare applications, particularly in the molecular mechanisms of disease, diagnosis, and precision medicine. Through my work, I aim to contribute to early disease detection and improved therapeutic strategies using advanced genomic technologies.
