ASM Student Chapter IU

The American Society for Microbiology Student Chapter at Islamic University is a student-run organization dedicated to promoting the study and understanding of microbiology. As a chapter of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the largest single life science membership organization, the student chapter aims to provide a platform for students to engage in various activities related to microbiology. By joining the American Society for Microbiology Student Chapter, students at Islamic University have the opportunity to explore their passion for microbiology, develop their skills, and connect with like-minded individuals who share their interests. 

Our Goals

• To promote student interest and further improve the quality of the Microbiology and related programs at the Islamic University.

• To promote and explain the benefits and value of ASM membership to students, postdocs, and early career scientists at Islamic University.

• To promote university student' interest in microbiology and related fields and their attendance at the Islamic University.

• To provide aid and professional development opportunities for students in Microbiology and related disciplines (e.g., Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Pharmacy, Applied Nutrition, and Food Technology, etc.) at the Islamic University concerning academic curriculum, research, and employment.

• To promote student participation in local, state, and national ASM meetings and activities.
