How do I join SRS?

Easy! You can email shotrevshot@gmail.com and reach out, DM us on any of our social media accounts linked at the bottom of this page, or join our club on MU Engage! We will send you information from there on how to get involved!

What are the departments in SRS?

In SRS, you can join our writer's room where we work on scripts and pitch ideas for new series. We also have the editor's room where you can boost your skills by learning video and audio editing techniques. As we approach film shoots, you can also join pre-production to plan our shoots. Last but not least, our marketing team meets to learn about social media promotion and how to make our club grow! You can join as many of these departments as you would like!

How often do you meet?

We have weekly meetings including one general body meeting, one writer's room meeting, and one editor's room meeting! We also have occasional meetings for those interested in social media marketing and pre-production. Film shoots are usually on weekends a couple of times a month!

What is the time commitment like for this club?

Good news... none! You may attend as many meeting as you please! We are all busy students with other obligations so we understand if you can only come to one meeting or all! We are just happy to have you here :)

How do you communicate within the club?

We have a Discord channel that we use as our main mode of communication. Once you join, an exec team member will reach out to you with a link to join! There, you can find meeting times and locations, announcements, opportunities, and you can chat with fellow SRS members!

Who can join?

Any Mizzou student can join our club regardless of your major! If you are a filmmaker or artist who is not at Mizzou, feel free to email us with opportunities for our members to help you on projects or to collaborate with us! We are always in need of collaborators to help with music, advice, and anything else for our projects!

What about COVID-19?

We are beginning to host our meetings in-person again this school year, but we are still taking the necessary precautions needed to keep our members safe and healthy. As an official student organization, we follow the University's COVID-19 guidelines and will adjust to any changes that may come. If you are uncomfortable meeting in-person or have any concerns, you can let us know and we will have a zoom-in option available!
